Below I’ve compiled a list books that so far have made it onto my top hit list of books that you must read. I’m interested in the titles that you would add.

The list it’s self is great, but point number five is my primary point of focus:

“#5 – People you don’t even know right now will one day come along side of you and be unbelievable friends and partners in the ministry God has given you.”

This is a great word for Church Planters, but this has been hugely true in Ashleigh and I’s life in the past year.

I came to The Rock almost one year ago now damaged. I wanted to quit with Churches period. I came looking for a place to heal. Not pastor, not volunteer, not serve, not be involved….just a place to fade into the crowd and figure out if I had heard God clearly or not.

In the past twelve months, not only has God used The Rock as a healing place that has revitalized my hunger and passion for people, churches, and ministry. But it’s also brought into our lives some of the healthiest friendships that I’ve had thus far in my life.

And on the eve of my first time ever coming through the doors of our Church, I can’t help but be completely in awe of the change that God has brought into our lives through our church.

A year ago, I didn’t even know these people’s names, and today they’re not just people that I go to church with.

They’re my family.

Technology is the key to the opportunities of tommorow. Technology is changing almost everything about how that we do ministry!

However, I'm convinced that there are entirely too many areas of my life that I still consider just "good enough" to be comfortable with. That comfort keeps me from focusing in on those areas with the laser pin point accuracy that is required to fine tune something to the level of greatness.

I don't want me life or the things that pour my life into to be "good". I want them to be great.

It's time to up the bar and move on to excellence. There's no better time to start than now.

It would seem that the SBC is poised to either take in the first fresh breath of air that it's had in quite some time or choose to continue down the same path that has lead to it's current state and will eventually lead to it's demise.

I'm praying that out of this, the SBC gains a bright new tomorrow. Your thoughts?
